Treatment of surgical diseases is divided into three stages: preoperative period, surgical intervention and postoperative period.

 

Preoperative period is a complex of diagnostic and preparatory measures. During the diagnostic stage of the preoperative period, the following goals should be achieved: it is necessary to clarify the diagnosis of the underlying disease, gather the information about concomitant diseases, to find out the functional capabilities of the patient's organs and systems, to determine the tactics of the patient's management, to clear articulate the indications to it, and determine the extent of forthcoming surgical intervention.

The duration of the preoperative period can vary from several days up to a few months, everything will depend on the clinical case, urgency of the surgery, etc.

 

Most of the activities of the diagnostic unit under planned operations at the MC Evviva are carried out on an outpatient basis.

 

The result of the preoperative period is the writing of the preoperative epicrisis, which reflects the justification for the diagnosis, indications for the proposed operative intervention and its scope, the presumed analgesia and the documented consent of the patient to the operation.
